Your Prayers Make A Difference

by The Gideons International on March 23, 2012

What happens when you pray for The Gideons International? God responds and more lives are touched by His Word. Here are just three examples of how your prayers have made a difference as we carry out our mission of distributing Scriptures so that more men, women, boys and girls can come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Thank you all for your prayers.

Your prayers release God’s power for more successful distributions

Costa Rica and El Salvador ISB, September 2011 | Randy Smith, Team Leader

“The prayers asking for good weather were answered with only one day of slight rain. God allowed it to rain only at night and delayed the constant rain until after the blitz. After we left, the rains began in earnest and lasted for 13 consecutive days.”

Your prayers bless Gideons in the field

IOC Assignment in Hungary and Kosovo, November 2011 | Raimo Manninen, International Outreach Committee

“Thank you again for your prayer support. This was one of my toughest assignments. Three weeks away from home; the darkest time of the year; and cold weather blurred my mood. I know these assignments are not vacation trips. However, God provided again. All the goals I set for the assignment were reached. So, once again your prayers were answered.”

Your prayers help open doors for sharing God’s Word

Malawi ISB, August 2011 | Jack Rudy, Team Leader

“There was an amazing development in the crisis here in Malawi. Late yesterday as we were approaching Blantyre from Liwonde, I could hardly believe it when my driver said the demonstrations had been cancelled. The leaders of the demonstrations have agreed to postpone their activities for 30 days to allow the government to respond to the crisis. This is a miracle! The planning committee met last night and prayed for wisdom for other options. Praise God. He intervened.”
