Testimony: Bill Saye

by The Gideons International on September 4, 2015

During the 1970s, Bill Saye ran the largest drug operation in the USA. However, his criminal activity carried devastating consequences for him and his family. He escaped five attempts on his life, his wife was murdered, his son was kidnapped, and his daughter was severely beaten.

Bill was eventually arrested. One day in prison, with all hope seemingly lost, he heard God speak to him: “Bill, you’ve had everything this world has to offer and look where it got you.”

Broken by the consequences of a lifetime of making the wrong choices, Bill walked to the prison chapel where he spotted something lying on a table in the chapel library. It was a Gideon-placed New Testament. Watch his testimony to see how that New Testament would set him on a path to change his life.

Corrie ten Boom: “There is no pit so deep that Jesus is not deeper still, holding me up”
thank You, Jesus – Thank You for the Gideons placing Your Word in places where life, for many, is in such deep turmoil, and still be set free, by grasping It and holding it to their hearts and calling out to You to lift them out of that miry clay and You will put their feet on the Rock to stay – the Rock Who is You!!!!
Thank You, Jesus for blessing and using the Gideons all these years and please continue to lead and guide them to continue to be Your light in this dark and despairing world,

I was also a criminal my whole life i done everything from steeling, beating people up, sold drugs, did drugs, beat my wife, did time, hit my father, but through it all God has been there for me and through it all kept my family here with me and kept me alive and from doing alot of time. And in oct. 23 2015 i gave my life to Jesus Christ….and im not going to lie its hard after you give your life to God…buti twll you one thing its alot easier to handle life knowing Jesus loves me and is here for me loke he is for all of you out there…So no matter what you are going through no this Jesus is real and he loves allof you…if he can change me and take my addictions away like i never had them then he can do it for you…so bestrong keep the faith in our lord Jesus.

I once took one not knowing better. My co-workers made me mail it back to the hotel. I did not know at the time that I was a backslider. I had gone so far out in sin; the enemy erased from my mind my Christian past. God in his mercy gave me dreams and visions and I came running back to him 38 years ago. I pass tracts, keep tracts on my apt. door, pray for the souls, visit the sick and if anyone can give suggestions as to what more one can do to help win souls please post.

It is a very touching testimony from Bill. As Gids and Aux we sometimes underrate our work but in truth it is a very impacting work. It is very encouraging and we need not to stop. Some results are instant while some are gradual. We should always wait upon the Lord.
